Craft & Chat

Get crafty with us each month and hang out with library friends. It’s always a good time as we learn a new skill, or art technique, together. Materials supplied by the library.  Registration required, call (208)-472-2942 to register.

This popular shabby chic home decor is easy and fun to make! Please bring a small hammer. All other materials provided.

Qigong

Wednesdays at 11:00am
Qigong is an ancient Chinese health practice similar to Tai Chi in which you engage your mind, body, and spirit in a gentle way. Pick up and return waivers at the front desk.

The Women’s & Children’s Alliance

Monthly on the 3rd Wednesday, October 18th, 1:30-3:30pm
The WCA will be in the lobby of the library. The WCA operates shelters and provides counseling, legal advocacy, crisis services, and more to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.   For more information, visit www.wcaboise.org.

Election Day

Tuesday, November 7th, 8:00am-8:00pm
Do you know where your polling place is? On election day, the Council Chambers is one of many voting precincts. Visit adacountyelections.com for more information on your polling place, and to preview your ballot. To vote, bring a form of ID. Voters not registered in advance may do so and vote by bringing a photo ID and proof of residence.

Introducing a New Wellness Program ~ Sound Bath & Immersive Music Meditations

Starting November 8th, Monthly on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday, 1:15pm
Soundwell Boise consists of two to five skillful ambient musicians, who weave together a multi-texture tapestry of calming tones played on crystal singing bowls, steel tongue drums, bronze gongs, ambient guitar, melodious chimes, native-American flutes, and more. The intent is to help you relax, release stress and tension, and access a state of enhanced wellness. You are fully immersed in a sea of serene sound, often experiencing multiple waves of ever-deepening inner peace!

November Project: Beautiful Bookmarks
In this session, we will explore different watercolor techniques, create tassels, and add beads and charms to beautiful and giftable bookmarks. Good enough for gifts, but you might just want to keep them for yourself!
