Home Gardening Series-=Herbs in the Garden and in the Kitchen

Tuesday, May 2nd, 6:00pm
Join us to learn tried and true tips for growing and caring for herbs in your home garden. In this presentation, we will discuss even more than just growing herbs! You will learn about individual herbs and their growth characteristics, preserving herbs, and using fresh herbs after their harvest. Taught by Carol Millar, Advanced Master Gardener of the University of Idaho Extension, Ada County.

Living Well with Chronic Pain: Workshop

Thursdays, May 4th-June 8th, 12:30-2:30
This workshop is a six-week course that gives you tools and techniques to help those that suffer, or caring for someone, with chronic pain conditions. You will learn tools such as appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength and endurance, balancing activity with rest, tools for over-coming worst-case thinking, how our minds affect pain, and how we can use our minds to lessen pain, healthy eating, action-planning, and much more!

Shred Day

Saturday, May 6th, 10:00am-12:00pm
Bring up to 5 boxes of papers to be safely shredded by Western Records Destruction. The shred truck willl arrive at 9:45 am. Arrivals can begin at 9:50 am.

The Women’s & Children’s Alliance

Monthly on the 3rd Wednesday, May 17th, 1:30-3:30pm

Fit and Fall Proof™: Senior Fitness Class

Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11:00am, Saturdays 11:00am
Improve your strength, mobility, and balance to reduce risk of falling. Pick up and return waivers at the library. Registration is required.  Please call (208)-472-2942 to register.

Qigong

Wednesdays at 11:00am
Qigong is an ancient Chinese health practice similar to Tai Chi in which you engage your mind, body, and spirit in a gentle way. Pick up and return waivers at the front desk. Registration is required.   Call 208-472-2942.
