Chronic Pain Workshop

Living Well with Chronic Pain’ is a six-week workshop that gives you tools and techniques to help those that suffer (and those caring for someone) from chronic pain conditions. You will learn tools such as appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength and endurance, balancing activity with rest, tools for over-coming worst-case thinking, how our minds affect pain, and how we can use our minds to lessen pain, healthy eating, action-planning, and much more!

Bee Watch and Walk

Knowing that pollinator conservation is a critical issue, Boise City Park and Recreation in partnership with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and Bee City USA – Garden City launched Bee Watch, a new community science project to monitor bees in the Treasure Valley. Participants learn about native bee biology and identification, and conduct surveys with photos of bees at bee boxes and surrounding habitats sites in Boise. The presentation will be followed by a walk around the pollinator garden to identify bees!
