Treasure Valley Reads Book and Tasting Club

2023’s Treasure Valley Reads book is Khabaar: An Immigrant Journey of Food, Memory, and Family, by Madhushree Ghosh. Questioning and learning about food through immigration and migration is integral to the author’s own immigrant journey to America as a daughter of Indian refugees who keeps her parents’ memory alive through her Bengali food. Together we will discuss Khabaar and taste Indian food, from Madhuban restaurant, which is shared in the book. Bring in a printed family recipe to share!
