Artist Meet and Mingle

Time for a meet and greet with Lorena Lofthouse, the featured artist of Seeking the Light exhibit, on display at the library from November 26, 2024, to January 7, 2025. Don’t miss the chance to connect with the artist and explore their work!

Snowshoeing

Wednesday, December 11th, 6:00pm
Are you interested in learning more about snowshoeing or the Idaho City Backcountry Yurts? One of the talented Backcountry Yurt Rangers will tell you everything you need to know and answer any questions you might have! Whether you are brand new to winter recreation, or a seasoned snow lover, there will be helpful information for you.

Fit and Fall Proof: Senior Fitness Class

Tuesdays & Thursdays / 11:00am & 12:15pm. **No Class 12/24 & 12/31
Increase strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, confidence and social well-being. Sponsored by the Central District Health Department and the Garden City Public Library.

Qigong

Wednesdays at 11:00am

Qigong is an ancient Chinese health practice similar to Tai Chi in which you engage your mind, body, and spirit in a gentle way. Pick up and return waivers at the front desk.

The Women’s & Children’s Alliance

Third Wednesday, December 18th, 1:30-3:30pm
The Women’s & Children’s Alliance provides safety, healing and freedom from domestic abuse and sexual assault. The WCA operates secure shelters and provides professional counseling, legal advocacy, crisis services and case management to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.
